TVB shut out Stephen Chan, his new CRHK radio program put on halt

March 2010, because TVB General Manager Stepehen Chan was involved in a corruption case, initially was going to be back on the microphone again on CRHK's new radio program (Life or Death. Stephen Chan). However, yesterday Stephen's new program is suddenly put on halt. The first episode with guest Connie Chan has already been recorded and now is put in storage until further notice. TVB 'shuts out' Stephen again.

Commercial Radio Station HK (CRHK) initially was going to broadcast (Life or Death Stephen Chan) on 881 at 10pm Juky 18, 2010. Now because of Mr. Stephen Chan's personal reasons, the program's broadcast is delayed. CRHK respects and understands Mr. Chan's decision.

Reporters contacted Stephen to get an understanding of the situation, he only said: "I will not respond." and did not provide an explanation to why the program is halted. Reporters then went to TVB to investigate, asking them if they didn't allow Stephen to host a CRHK radio program. TVB Foreign Affairs Director (Tsang Sing Ming)
expressed that it is because of Stephen's personal reasons, but TVB's employees accepting outside work should notify the company in advance. As Stephen is still TVB's employee, hosting a radio program with CRHK will require filling out an application. TVB's response is: "not suitable for this type of work."

That day when Stephen recorded the first episode to his new program with Connie Chan, he strongly stressed he and TVB had no problems on him going back on the microphone with CRHK because it was voluntary work and there wasn't any pay. He also notified TVB about it beforehand. Currently (Life or Death - Stephen Chan) is set for 13 episodes, only 1 episode has been recorded for the meantime and the broadcast date is unknown until further notice.

Cancels Tomorrow's public appearance.

Tomorrow Stephen was suppose to attend the (Concert In the Dark) press conference, but today it was discovered that Stephen's name was removed from the guest list.

Public Relations for the press conference expressed that they received noticed that something came up for Stephen and that he cannot attend the conference. The (Concert In the Dark) will be held on August 7th and 8th, it is a charity event. Stephen was suppose to be one of the guest along with Anthony Wong and at17. Public Relations expressed that they have not received notice on if Stephen will participate in the performance.
