'Band Baaja Baaraat' Trailer: Yash Raj Films have released the theatrical trailer for Band Baaja Baaraat, their upcoming romcom headlining Anushka Sharma and debutant Ranveer Singh.

The trailer gives fans the first ever glimpse of newcomer Ranveer Singh, as he stretches himself into wakefulness standing in front of the early morning son. (He isn't yawning, but looking at him you might want to.)

The trailer focuses on the plot setting but gives no hints about the twists and conflicts that follow.

Shruti (Anushka Sharma) and Bittoo (Ranveer Singh), college students just out of Delhi University, strike a chord after a chance encounter. They become friends and team up as wedding planners in Delhi.

The 2m 46s trailer opens with street scenes of a bustling city. It makes a colorful watch and features vibrant background score.

Anushka Sharma rests the eyes and has impressive screen presence.

The film has been directed by Maneesh Sharma and its music scored by Salim Sulaiman.

Band Baaja Baaraat releases in theatres on December 10.

Anushka Sharma in new Yash Raj Film's 'Band Baaja Baaraat': Yash Raj Films to produce new film 'Band Baaja Baaraat', so Anushka Sharma and debutant Ranveer Singh, will release on December 10.

The Maneesh Sharma (Associate Director Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi) helmed romcom is set in Delhi.

Ranveer, who plays Bittoo in the film, is a complete fresher with no modeling or acting experience. He was selected after his very first audition, having impressed Aditya Chopra instantly.

Anushka, 22, who plays the challenging role of Shruti in the film, completes her three film contract with Yash Raj Films with Band Baaja Baraat, having done Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) and Badmaash Company (2010) earlier.

Here is the synopsis for Band Baaja Baraat:

Shruti and Bittoo are just out of Delhi University. A chance and inopportune meeting brings them together to reluctantly start a tumultuous entrepreneurial venture as Wedding Planners. Their business enters the ups and downs of the lavish world of the glamour and glitz of Delhi baaraats and weddings that will test their friendship over time.

The music has been scored by the talented duo, Salim - Sulaiman.
