Farah Khan to work with Aamir Khan after 10 years
Farah Khan to work with Aamir Khan after 10 years: Now that her `Tees Maar Khan` is over and done with, filmmaker Farah Khan is all set indulge in her first love, choreography. She`s been asked by Aamir Khan to choreograph a song for `Delhi Belly`.
Confirming her professional reunion with Aamir after 10 years, Farah says, "Yes, I`m doing a song for Aamir`s `Delhi Belly` because he has asked me to."
So, does this mean Farah is returning to choreography in a big way?
Retorts Farah, "Not at all! I don`t actively do choreography any more. Only a song here or there for friends. Besides Aamir`s song I will be doing the `Housefull 2` numbers for my brother Sajid and, of course, my husband Shirish Kunder`s `Joker`. That`s it for now. No more choreography this year. I`m busy writing my next script."
"Delhi Belly" was completed by director Abhinay Deo last year.
The project is as special to Aamir as his wife Kiran Rao`s "Dhobi Ghat" because it stars his nephew Imran Khan. The quirky film about a prodigal`s return to the capital has been described as a sex comedy.
The song choreographed by Farah Khan in "Delhi Belly" would be filmed on Imran Khan. Apparently Aamir wants the same feeling of youthful vibrancy in it that Farah had created for Aamir in the "Pehla nasha" number in "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar".
"Pehla nasha" was the first song that Farah choreographed. After "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar", she has choreographed only twice for Aamir, in "Sarfarosh" and "Dil Chahta Hai".
Aamir`s attention is now turning towards its post-production work, now that Kiran Rao`s directorial debut "Dhobi Ghat" is about to release.
Deo has moved on to his next project, "Game", for producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

Katrina Kaif forgot Farah Khan
Katrina Kaif forgot Farah Khan: Maybe it was the excitement of winning her first award. But in her thank-you speech on Thursday night after winning an award for Best Actor Popular Choice (whatever that means!) for her performances in Raajneeti and Tees Maar Khan at a recent award function, Katrina Kaif completely forgot to make any mention of Farah Khan.
Says a source close to Katrina, "Forget Farah. Katrina didn't make any mention of Tees Maar Khan (TMK) at all! Though the award was for her two performances in Raajneeti and TMK she only went on and on about Prakash Jha and Raajneeti. Farah who was sitting in the audience and had won an award for 'Munni Badnaam' just looked on without any expression."
According to a close friend of Katrina it was a genuine oversight. "In all the hustle bustle of the announcement Katrina only heard Raajneeti. She genuinely didn't know she had received the award for TMK also. When she got off the stage and realized her faux pas Katrina didn't know where to look. She immediately SMS-ed Farah to apologize."
A more plausible explanation is provided by another friend of the actress, "She had so prepared herself mentally to treat Raajneeti has her possible passport to recognition, it never struck her that she could get awarded for another performance. TMK just didn't register."
While Katrina was going blue in the face offering explanations, Farah Khan seemed perfectly nonchalant about Katrina's slip-up.
Says a source, "After Deepika Padukone and her attitude after Om Shanti Om, Katrina seems like a blessing. Farah is genuinely fond of Katrina and won't let this incident spoil things between them."
The case rests, we guess.

Akshay Kumar love to work again with Farah Khan
Akshay Kumar love to work again with Farah Khan: Even after the failure of 'Tees Maar Khan' and a number of flops last year, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar still holds a lot of confidence in filmmakers he has worked with and hopes to create box-office success this year.
After his last release Farah’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’ received a lukewarm response at the box-office, it’s learnt that the actor is still keen to work with the filmmaker.
Talking about Farah, Akshay stated, “A film may or may not click for several reasons, so Fridays do not decide my equations with anyone. I still believe that Farah’s one of the best film-makers in Bollywood and I’d love to work with her again.”
Akshay in Farah’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’ sequel
Interestingly, it’s also been rumored that Akshay would be seen in the sequel of ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and when the actor was asked about this, he stated that if that happens he would be happy to work in the sequel.
“I'm looking forward to working with her again. She's a tough taskmaster. Men are scared of her. So am I. She speaks her mind no matter what the consequences. She wasn't making a film to win the National award. She made a commercial film,” stated Akki.
Akshay is waiting to work with Sonakshi
Akshay, who has given several hit films with Katrina Kaif, is now looking forward to his fresh pairing with Sonakshi in Shrish’s ‘Joker’.
After seeing her ‘Dabangg’ performance, Akshay was impressed with her acting talent and he revealed that it didn’t look like it was her first film.
"I saw her in Dabangg. It didn't look like her first film. She was so confident. She complemented Salman perfectly. I hope we look as good together,” stated Akshay.
Speaking about Shirish’s ‘Joker’, Akshay stated that he would be co-producing the film with Shirish who will be directing it.
Speculation is rife that the film revolves around the circus, however, Akshay rejected those rumors and revealed that film has nothing to with the circus.

Akshay Kumar and Farah Khan makes another 3D film 'Joker'
Akshay Kumar and Farah Khan makes another 3D film 'Joker': Notwithstanding the less-than-expected run of Tees Maar Khan at box office, Farah Khan, Akshay Kumar and Shirish Kunder are reuniting again for a 3D film.
This time, the trio aim higher on entertainment quotient with their film Joker, which will be directed not by Farah but her husband Shirish.
“We will begin work on Joker in January. We are already through with the ground work and it is time to start the principal shoot. The film will be made in 3D,” Farah is quoted as saying by a news agency.
The movie, an all-out entertainer, will have Sonakshi Sinha opposite Akshay. It will be jointly produced by Farah-Shirish's Three's Company and Akshay's 'Hari Om Entertainment Co'.
“It should be a good experience to work with the same team after Tees Maar Khan. I have always believed that you should enjoy the filmmaking process instead of worrying about the fate of a film,” Farah said.
With Farah and Shirish switching roles, their production company already has two directors.
“Not many production houses can boast of two in-house directors. This way we don't have to rely upon outside directors to make films for us,” Farah said.
The shoot of ‘Joker’ will begin on 24th January at Malshej ghat. The second schedule will be in April-May.

Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Farah Khan's exclusive Interview
Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Farah Khan's exclusive Interview: Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Farah Khan flew into London this week to promote TEES MAAR KHAN. From 'Sheila Ki Jawani' to Shah Rukh Khan's casting controversies, the film consistently generated column inches. Our correspondent went head-to-head with the director and stars of the movie, to talk about the production. Trade analysts are predicting it will be the biggest Bollywood grosser of 2010.
What is the USP of this film?
Akshay: The USP of TEES MAAR KHAN is the kind of role that I have been offered in the movie. Also, that I am working with Farah for the first time. On top of that we have 'Sheila Ki Jawani'.
Can you confirm the rumours that the project was first offered to Shah Rukh Khan?
Farah: When it was decided that I was going to direct the film the first person I called was Akshay and he was the only choice. Akshay was fabulous to work with. As a star to have in your film, he is bang on with time. If you want him there at 6am he will be there at 5.30am. He brings 200% and gives everything to the shot. Other than that, he improvises and will give you two or three variations of how to do it.
How did you decide on the casting of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif?
Farah: For me, it was the first time I was working with Akshay and Katrina both. For a long time I resisted bringing the two of them together as I thought they had been together in too many movies. But I think we have presented them in a very different way, both of them are not doing anything we have seen before, and they look like different actors. When they come together their chemistry is so special, and when the camera goes on, magic happens. You cannot explain two people's chemistry, but for them it is there in abundance. They are also both tall, good looking and they complement each other physically.
What was it like working with Farah?
Katrina: There are a few directors who you want to work with on the basis of their talent and their reputation. In this film it was definitely a case of that with Farah. Luckily for me there were a lot of things that I found challenging in this film, obviously the songs and the level of the dancing expected.
Akshay: She is a very strict director, and if she was only allowed to have a cane in her hands. She loves beating up people.
And working with each other again?
Katrina: (Laughs) I had to be brought to set screaming and kicking.
Did you realize 'Sheila Ki Jawani' would be such a hit?
Katrina: I had not worked with Farah for many years, and her songs are always hugely talked about and they have always been a focal point. Especially the songs the girl have done like Sushmita Sen's 'Tumhe Jo Maine Dekha' in MAIN HOON NA and Deepika's [Padukone] introduction song in OM SHANTI OM. All her movies have that one really special song for the girls and I didn't want to let anyone down. I was very nervous about it and put in those hours to make sure I did the best that I could.
Farah: I knew 'Sheela Ki Jawani' would be a big hit. We composed it, constructed it and choreographed it in such a way. But it is incredible that it has gone onto become this kind of a rage, with people watching it a hundred times on YouTube. What is surprising is that little kids are loving it. Maybe it is a children's jingle. When Akshay saw it, he said in small cities they are going to stop the film and replay the song again.
Akshay: It will be fun watching this song in the interiors of India. I watch each and every film on the theatre, and when I am shooting in the interiors I love to watch films and literally they throw money at such kind of songs.
Farah: And this time I am going to be there right in front to pick up all the money.
How do you feel about the battle that has developed between Munni vs Sheila?
Katrina: I don't think we ever realized it, as when we were shooting the song, DABANGG had not yet released. I don't think Farah and I want to compare or fight or anything like that. It is about doing the best that I can do for this song. In my opinion, it is very different to the songs in DABANGG, which coincidentally Farah has done anyway.
How did Salman Khan come onboard for the project?
Farah: I asked Salman Khan to do a song for our movie as there were rumours already that he was in it. I asked him if he would do it and he agreed. It was as simple as that.
Does the movie show off your comic actor or action hero skills?
Akshay: Well there is not much action in this film. It is more comic, because the way the character is written, if there is any action he doesn't want to fight he just wants to run away, and will come back when there are less people and he can handle then very easily. So the character is like that.
Why is the film releasing earlier in the international market?
Farah: In the UK and US we are releasing earlier because the holidays begin on 22nd, so we get a really long weekend. We want to get the advantage of a bigger opening weekend and we get a five-day weekend this way. In the Middle East we release 23rd because all films release on a Thursday over there.
What is the USP of this film?

No talking term with Salman and Farah is Shahrukh Khan's fault!
No talking term with Salman and Farah is Shahrukh Khan's fault!: In a season when Koffee With Karan has made news for questionable remarks, Shahrukh Khan has felt free to constructed a quite humble induction on the show.
The superstar showed up on the show apart from everyone else and was his enchanting and real to life ideal. When host and dost Karan Johar inquired of SRK concerning the folks who are no longer on talking terms with him, SRK gave an amazing answer.
“Shah Rukh said that if they weren't talking to him, it could probably be his fault,” a source is quoted to have told a tabloid.
Obviously, Karan was alluding to Salman Khan - who hasn’t talked with SRK since his quarrel with him on Katrina Kaif’s birthday in 2008.
Farah Khan, on the other hand, fell out with her once-favourite friend after SRK reportedly objected to her leaving him out of her film Tees Maar Khan and signing Akshay Kumar instead.
Anyway, Shahrukh’s admission that his spat with Salman and Farah were probably due to his own fault shows how introspective and humble he can be.
That’s why we love him all the more.

Farah Khan mocked Shahrukh Khan!
Farah Khan mocked Shahrukh Khan!: There was a time when Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan couldn't stop themselves from praising each other; however things changed dramatically off late.
Though everyone is still in doubt about how it all started, but we started getting an idea when Farah was often seen with Salman in public, who also happens to be the arch foe of Shahrukh, then came the news of Farah casting Akshay Kumar in her upcoming bollywood film "Tees Maar Khan" and people started speculating.
And now the news is that Farah has also mocked Shahrukh in the film. In "Tees Maar Khan" Akshaye Khanna's character is based on SRK, in the movie the character continuously visits London for back ache problems, which is correct with Shahrukh. Also in TMK an international film maker, named “Danny” offers a movie to Akshaye, however he keeps him waiting for a long time and then declines the offer and the movie goes on to become one of the biggest hits of century, this as well happened with Shahrukh when Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle approached him in the first place instead of Anil Kapoor.
Through these things one point is clear, that in the movie we will find Shahrukh Khan in centre of every comical mocking, however let us see how the movie turns out, in a poll conducted by FilmiTadka, Tees Maar Khan is one of the most awaited films.

Farah Khan makes fun of SRK in 'Tees Maar Khan'
Farah Khan makes fun of SRK in 'Tees Maar Khan': Shahrukh Khan and director Farah Khan have claimed that they are still good friends, but if we are to go by the latest news, their friendship is passe. It is reported that Farah has made fun of the actor in her latest film Tees Maar Khan.
Yes, Akshaye Khanna's role in Tees Maar Khan is said to be a replica of Shahrukh's real life. In the film, Akshaye goes to London often for terrible backache treatment. He also talks about showing off his six-packs and going topless in film.
As if that's not enough, he makes an international filmmaker wait for six hours and turned his offer down in the end. The film went on to win Oscars, leaving him with remorse. It may be recalled that Shahrukh turned down Danny Boyle's film Slumdog Millionaire, which won stole the show at the Oscars a few years ago.
Tees Maar Khan starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Akshaye Khanna is scheduled for release on Christmas day, December 24.

Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan meets tough competition: Shahrukh Khan
Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan meets tough competition: Shahrukh Khan: Rumour has it that Shahrukh Khan is pulling the strings to ensure that Tees Maar Khan meets tough competition at the box office.
There has been an uneasy chill between SRK and his once close friend Farah Khan ever since the latter roped in Akshay Kumar for her soon-to-release film Tees Maar Khan (TMK), dropping SRK like a hot potato. King Khan, who certainly commands respect from film frat, wasn’t pleased being snubbed.
Now, when TMK is set for release on December 24, the gossip mills are abuzz that SRK is using his clout to harm the film’s prospects at ticket windows. How?
SRK is a close friend of the people who head Eros International and he has persuaded them to postpone the release of their film Toonpur Ka Superhero, starring Ajay Devgan and Kajol, from December 17 to Dec 24. Which means that Farah’s TMK which was earlier the solo release on Christmas weekend will now have competition from Toonpur Ka Superhero.
It’s a development that surely won’t go down well with Farah and Akshay who had banked on the uncontested Xmas weekend to set the cash registers ringing.
The spokesperson of the Eros International is quoted to have said that Toonpur Ka Superhero was postponed because it’s a children’s film that can have more audiences around Xmas. Whether SRK had any influence in setting up this clash, no one is willing to stick their neck out and confirm.

Non-Existent sex life of Farah Khan?
Non-Existent sex life of Farah Khan?: This season of Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan is throwing up one shocker after another.
The latest to grab the attention is a remark by director Farah Khan. While appearing on a director’s special show that also had Imtiaz Ali and Rajkumar Hirani as guests, Farah was her candid best.
When Karan Johar asked her to describe her sex life in two words, guess what Farah said: “Non Existent”.
She went on to add: “Between my three kids and the making of Tees Maar Khan, that’s been the case.” A moment later she began to laugh and clarified: “I was just joking.”
Farah is married to Shirish Kunder who edited her film Main Hoon Na. She gave birth to triplets in February 2008. Since then she’s been busy taking care of her three kids. For the good part of this year, she’s been busy with Tees Maar Khan, her next directorial venture.

Kareena Kapoor is better than Katrina Kaif, Farah Khan
Kareena Kapoor is better than Katrina Kaif, Farah Khan: Our ears are ringing. Farah Khan, who worked with Katrina Kaif in Tees Maar Khan, is all praise for Katrina's dance and newly found Hindi diction.
She also said that Katrina is so hot in the song Sheela Ki Jaawani that she can mint money from doing this one song at concerts all through 2011. However, on Koffee with Karan, when Farah was asked who is the better actress — Kareena Kapoor or Katrina, she is said to have chosen Bebo over Kat.
Now, Kat is a sensible girl. She knows that Bebo is the better actress. But to hear it constantly from everyone around her must be a little unsettling. After all actresses must be in the news for acting? Right Priyanka?
