Russell Brand's special wedding gift to Katy Perry!: Now, when a couple ties the knot right next to a Tiger reserve, it makes all the sense for the groom to gift a tigress to his lovely wife.

Russell Brand, perhaps in good humour, has gifted his wife Katy Perry a tigress on their wedding in Aman-e-Khas resort in Rajasthan on Saturday. Brand reportedly shelled out a good amount of money to buy Machli, the Bengali tigress who lives in Ranthambore National Park right next to Aman-e-Khas.

The big cat, described as the “epitome of beauty” by the forest guards, will remain in the jungle but the money given by Brand will go into its welfare and conservation schemes in the park. Meanwhile, according to a dailymail report, a man-eating tiger gatecrashed Katy and Russell’s wedding on Saturday. The predator reportedly jumped over two walls but was beaten away before it could scale the third wall which separated him from the newly weds by just 50 feet.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand set to get married in an Indian wedding: Hollywood Pop singer Katy Perry and her fiancé Russell Brand are set to get married in an elaborate Indian wedding to be held in India in October, according to mirror.co.uk.

Reports say that the stylish invitations sent to the guests read: “Meet you in Delhi in October. Dates to follow. Please allow seven days for this event.”

It may be noted that Perry and Brand had got engaged in Jaipur on New Year’s Eve. Later, they had also taken part in a spiritual ceremony.

The Mirror quotes a source as saying: “Expect the most vibrant wedding of the year. It will be a mix of traditional Hollywood glamour with Katy's hair and dress, plus Indian touches like henna art on her hands and feet, an Indian tiara and hair brooches.”

Around 100 guests from abroad will stay at a resort in India during the wedding. The guests reportedly include Jonathon Ross, Noel Gallagher, David Williams, Morrissey and Rihanna.
