Imran Khan’s wedding reception: no meeting between Shahrukh & Salman: Though both Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan attended Avantika and Imran Khan’s wedding reception there was no meeting between the two. The reception party at the Taj Lands End hotel started late on Saturday evening and continued until Sunday morning and Salman was long gone before Shahrukh Khan reached with wife Gauri.

Imran Khan married his girlfriend Avantika Malik on January 10 and the couple left for Thailand soon after their wedding. The reception thrown by Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao was attended by celebrities from Bollywood, sportsmen, businessmen, bureaucrats and politicians.

On reaching the party at 2:30AM Shahrukh said, “I was actually shooting. I was working so I told him that I would come late and they are so sweet that they waited for me. Imran and Avantika are my young friends, so I wanted to come and wish them.”

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar with wife Anjali was one of the first to arrive, cricketer Yuvraj Singh and boxer Vijendra also attended the reception.

The Kapoors, Shammi Kapoor and his nephews Rishi Rapoor and Randhir Kapoor came together and they were joined by Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. “Imran is a very dear friend of mine. I want to wish them a very happy married life,” said Ranbir.

R. Madhavan with wife Sarita, Akshay Kumar with wife Twinkle Khanna, Hrithik Roshan with wife Sussanne Khan, Suniel Shettty, Govinda, Jackie Shroff, Bobby Deol, Anupam Kher, Irrfan Khan, Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Tusshar Kapoor and his father Jitendra, Zayed Khan and Sanjay Khan were among the celebrities who attended the bash.

Deepika Padukone was at the party with her boy-friend Siddharth Malya. Bollywood beauties Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Preity Zinta, Anushka Sharma, Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan were also in attendance.

Yes, Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao are organizing a special party at a Bandra hotel poolside for the newly-wedded couple Imran and Avantika on February 5. They are inviting many big names in Bollywood, politics, business and sports to the party. Big personalities like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, The Ambanis, The Birlas, Sachin Tendulkar and several others are said to be in the guest list.


Well, Salman and Shahrukh would meet each other at the party if they accept Aamir’s invitation.

SRK has been in confession mood lately. After confessing that he’s been depressed for a good part of this year, he’s spoken out frankly about his friends that have been falling out, namely Salman Khan and Farah Khan.

On Karan Johar’s show KWK, when SRK was asked about Farah and Salman, he is reported to have said: “I don't know how to make friends and if I do, I don't know how to keep them....If Salman and Farah are upset with me it's 100 per cent my fault but I can't pick up the phone and say sorry.... I can't apologise because of ego but because I can't just get myself to ask people to come back to me... I had asked my parents to come back and they didn't...”

In fact, SRK’s soul-baring so touched the host Karan Johar that he was moved to tears.

Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan again in one platform: As the ambassador of Special Olympics Bharat, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar  is trying to make the impossible possible. The actor is asking the film fraternity to join him in promoting his unique cause and the games for the people with different abilities. And here’s the scoop. Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan both are likely to join him and share the same platform.

That Akshay and Salman gel well is no news now. When Salman got B-town celebs for his Being Human initiative, everyone turned up and walked the ramp, including Akshay. So when Akki approaches him, that too for a cause like this, Salman would definitely not say no.

On the other hand, Akki has already buried the hatchet with SRK. The two stars like to meet each other often, and Shahrukh recently paid him a visit on the sets of Tees Maar Khan.

However, the confirmation from the stars about supporting Akshay’s cause is yet to come. “It is too early to give out who all have confirmed for the cause. I will be approaching everyone to join me. I’m hoping they won’t say no,” Akki is quoted as saying.

Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Farah Khan have already said yes to him.

Shahrukh-Salman Relationship: are they avoiding each other: It was on Monday night the 7th of September, when Salman Khan  had kept a special screening of Dabangg’, for his special guests and family at the Ketnav Theatre, Pali Hill ,Mumbai, where along with a host of celebrities that actually watched the film preview, were some special celebrities who simply zoomed past the premises, after a brief halt outside!!

Now, the question is who were those special celebrities that did not attend the special screening, but did stop for a brief moment and zoomed away?

Well, without further ado, let us disclose the fact that, it was none other than Shahrukh Khan, who had arrived with his wife Gauri, in his BMW Convertible, and had stopped outside the theatre. As soon as some reporters spotted him in the car, SRK simply sped away!

Now, what is baffling is that why had SRK gone there, and if he was there, why didn’t he go inside, and why did he stop briefly outside? Or, why did he speed off on being recognized?

Well, the fact is that perhaps Shahrukh and Salman are just not yet on talking terms, but then deep within, they are true buddies, as Salman had recently said on a show, that since he and Shahrukh had worked as brothers in the film ‘Karan Arjun’, there was that special bonding, but as of now they are comfortable in their own spaces.

Well, love or hate each other, but they simply cannot avoid each other can they?
